Gill is a versatile artist, working across several genres. She originally trained in Design for the Stage and with a long career in costume production at the two London opera houses as well as venue, event and orchestral management, more recently she has returned to her roots in drawing and painting combined with embroidery and stitch. Her work is inspired by archetypes and mythology, Italian Comedia dell'arte theatrical traditions and Graeco-Roman performance. Her artworks include textile puppet making and creating art dolls that were the initial inspiration for SLOPMOTION stop-motion films.
